Job Description

POSITION TYPE

  • Secondary Special Ed Teacher

  • Full-time

  • 6th - 12th grades

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and teacher certification required

  • Must have valid Texas Teaching Certification

  • ESL certification preferred or willingness to become certified within the first year

  • Desire to grow professionally

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow and use Booker ISD’s curriculum

  • Plan/collaborate/work closely with members of grade level team and participate in a Professional Learning Community

  • Design student learning with balanced literacy and balanced math

  • Provide research based interventions for at-risk/struggling learners

  • Other duties as assigned
